Bernard Villemot (1911 -1989) was the son of the well-known cartoonist and humorist Jean Villemot, and a close friend of Rymond Savignac. Villemot produced government and political posters during the war years. Beginning in the late '40s, he began designing commercial posters and became one of the most important Poster Graphic Designers after Second World War. His work for Bally, Perrier, Air France and Orangina have a recognizable style with bold typography, a colorful and rich variety of synthetic forms, often charming and endourable female shapes.
