The famous Swiss artist Alois Carigiet was born in 1902 in Trun, Grisons, where he died in 1985. Carigiet worked as a painter, designed a number of books for children, including the famous „Schellen-Ursli“, and became a freelance graphic designer in 1939. Carigiet also designed several travel and product posters. In 1960, he moved back to his native village of Trun in Grisons.
