Michael Wolgensinger was born in Zurich in 1913 and died there in 1990. He apprenticed as a photographer from 1932 to 1935 and attended the Zurich school of applied arts. He founded his own studio with his wife Luzzi Herzog and enjoyed a long and successful career as a photographer and reporter. He produced many books and also created films of various kinds for which he received several awards.
