About this poster
In 1936 the Swiss central office for aid to refugees was founded by 13 different aid organisations in order to pool their resources. After the end of the Second World war, the office assumed an important role in Switzerland’s help to refugees from the war. This original poster by Hans Falk announced the 1946 fundraising campaign for refugee aid. It was awarded by the Swiss Federal Department of Home Affairs as one of the Swiss Posters of the Year 1946. A striking historical document designed by one of the great Swiss poster artists.
