This service ensures transparency and confirms provenance to give you greater confidence in your purchase.

Professional poster mounting

To preserve and protect your original vintage poster, we offer a specialist mounting service. Mounting helps stabilise fragile posters, enhances their appearance, and prevents further deterioration over time.

We use acid-free Japanese paper or linen backing, an archival-quality process that safeguards your artwork while maintaining its original integrity. We generally use acid-free Japanese paper backing and recommend this technique; mounting on acid-free linen is also possible on request. The following professional mounting process is used to protect your artwork and preserve its original integrity:

  • Japanese wheat paste application – carefully brushed onto the back of the poster
  • Mounting onto acid-free Moriki Japanese paper for optimal protection
  • Ten-day drying process

This traditional poster conservation technique enhances durability while remaining fully reversible if required.
