In 1930, they started to sell the mustard in tubes, which had never been used for foods before. The same year, the brand name Thomy was created (named after the company’s founder, Thomi). From 1951, mayonnaise was sold in tubes as well. Thomy was acquired by Nestlé in 1971 and has remained a household brand in Switzerland to this day.
