THOMY Senf / Mustard, CH

The Thomy brand was named after Fritz Thomi-Schaad. He owned the company Helvetia, which was the first Swiss company to start producing mustard in 1907. In 1930, they started to sell the mustard in tubes, which had never been used for foods before. The same year, the brand name Thomy was created (named after the company’s founder, Thomi). From 1951, mayonnaise was sold in tubes as well. Thomy was acquired by Nestlé in 1971 and has remained a household brand in Switzerland to this day.
