The Jazz Festival Zurich was a music festival held annually in Zurich between 1951 and 1992. The festival was held at the Kino Urban between 1951 and 1970, and at the neighbouring Corso Theatre from 1971 to 1973. The initiator was the advertising expert André Berner, son of the Swiss jazz pioneer Ernest Berner. In 1973, the festival was held for the last time under the direction of André Berner, who was assisted in the last years by Bruno Spoerri.
