GRAUBÜNDEN - GRISONS

The Grisons, at 7100 square kilometres, may be Switzerland’s biggest canton by area, but with approx. 198,000 inhabitants it is the most sparsely populated. The Grisons is the only canton with three official languages: German, Italian and Romansh – the last of which forms an integral part of the local culture and identity. The canton is rich in natural scenery, with 615 lakes, over 900 peaks and 150 valleys. It is also home to one of the world’s most famous and luxurious leisure resorts: St. Moritz in the Upper Engadine.
