Feldschlösschen Bier / Beer

Founded in 1876, Feldschlösschen is Switzerland’s largest brewery. The name means “little castle in the fields” and the brewery, located in Rheinfelden, was built to resemble a castle. In 1972, Feldschlösschen acquired the Brasserie Valaisanne in Sion, Valais, which was founded in 1865. In 1996 there was a merger with the Hürlimann brewery in Zurich; in 1998 it acquired the Rhäzuns mineral water springs and bottling facility in the Grisons. In 2000, the Feldschlösschen company was acquired by the Carlsberg Group, located in Denmark.
