Officially, the line connects Lucerne, the Brünig and Interlaken with Zweisimmen, the Saanenland and the adjacent Vaud Pays d'Enhaut down to Lake Geneva. The line is operated by three companies, the Zentralbahn (Zb) from Lucerne to Interlaken, the BLS from Interlaken to Zweisimmen and the Chemin de Fer Montreux Oberland Bernois (MOB) from Zweisimmen to Montreux. This is an epic rail journey across half of Switzerland, through rolling hills, rugged mountains and past some of Switzerland's most beautiful lakes.
