Marcello Nizzoli
The very creative and versatile Italian artist Marcello Nizzoli lived from 1887 until 1969 and worked as a painter, decorator, textile designer and graphic designer. Nizzoli was an architect by training and began his advertising career with the Maga agency in 1924. Many of the posters he designed were for Italian automobile companies. Nizzoli was a bold artist with a unique, strong sense of composition. This was an important reason why Campari, a company with a long tradition of engaging great artists, commissioned him to create two posters, both of which are unique and very rare neo-cubist still life images. In the 1930s, Nizzoli joined Olivetti, where he created posters, advertisements and became head product designer in 1936.
